The Vengeful Beauty - Xue Fu Rong (1978)

As the trained Flying Guillotine assassins secretly working for the Emperor begin their attacks, one of the assassins (Yuen Cheung-yan) is caught by local security forces. Flying Guillotine leader Jin Gang-feng (Lo Lieh) is ordered to kill every witness including the prison interrogator and his family to keep the assassins a secret. Rong Qiu-yan (Chen Ping) returns home to find her dead husband and immediately fingers Gang-feng. With her superior kung fu, she nearly kills him, but retreats to protect her unborn child. Now Gang-feng is in deep trouble. He's told the Emperor under threat of execution that all witnesses are dead. In order to keep his head, Gang-feng turns to his three adult children to quickly hunt down and kill Qiu-yan who is now attempting to reach her uncle. As the hunt begins, Qiu-yan hooks up with a former Flying Guillotine member named Ma Seng (Norman Chu) and her old martial brother Wang-jun (Yueh Hua) who both help her along the way and become rivals in their love for her.

Finger of Doom tells the Story of "Madam Kung Suen" of T'ai Yin Sect, who uses some 
sort of Needleweapon,("Finger of Doom" which turns her Opponents into obedient Zombies),
 in order to (how surprisingly!) take over the so-called Martial World.




The 5 Billion Dollar Legacy - Wei Chan Wu Yi Yuan (1970)

Three young women receive letters from a man claiming to be their unknown father. He tells them that he is now extremely wealthy and feels bad for never getting to know them and for never contacting their respective mothers. He invites them to visit him in Japan and tells them that they are the heirs to his fortune that comes to five billion dollars. The women – Margaret, Wang and Kuo – co-incidentally meet on the airplane and learn that they are half sisters . . . and also that they have some others to share the will with. Wang is blind and only too happy to meet family as she is an orphan, but Kuo is less than thrilled – in her previous life she and her pimp boyfriend had run cons on men by setting them up sexually with Kuo and he played the irate husband who discovers them. On the plane they all meet Chin Feng who is going to Japan to investigate the mysterious death of their father’s lawyer.Once they reach their father’s huge estate things begin going askew. Their reclusive father who is paralyzed in a wheel chair tells them that he has changed his mind and left his money to his sleazy leech of a nephew. Then a ghost begins stalking the halls at night and an ogre with one eye hanging out of the socket takes an interest in them. Creaky doors and heavy footsteps soon follow with a fair amount of female panic and running around. With no money to be had they think about returning to Hong Kong, but then the first dead body shows up with a knife sticking out of it like an uninvited guest – others are to follow.




Hex - Che (1980)

Constantly mistreated by her cruel, alcoholic husband Chun-yu (Wang Jung), frail Chan Sau-ying (Tanny Tien Ni) awaits certain death from tuberculosis. New servant girl Yi-wah (Chen Szu-chia) takes pity on her mistress' plight but, after suffering Chun-yu's abuse once too often, the pair proceed to drown him one evening. They dump his body in a near-by pond but Sau-ying believes that the man's bloated corpse has risen from the bog to seek vengeance. Yi-wah dismisses her claims as the delusions brought about by guilt and her illness but it appears that the house is indeed being haunted by a corpse that will not be easily appeased.

Diary of a Ladykiller - Lie Ren (1969)

Tycoon Chou Kuo-hung is a philanderer. He gets his typist Li Chiu-hua pregnant and the distraught girl kills herself. When Chou’s fiancee Su Hsiu-lan refuses to have sex with him, the playboy seduces his cashier Liu Ming-hua. Li Tung-hai, one of Chou’s executives, loves Su but his affections are not returned. In anger, he tells her of Chou’s indiscretions but the girl refuses to believe him. Chou keeps a room in an inn as a place of rest in which to record in a diary his romantic escapades. He next chases and sleeps with Lu Chi-mei. The night he’s with Lu, Liu is found murdered. The unruffled Chou goes after art student Chu Li-chen and is about to make her succumb when her classmates return. Chou leaves. That very night, Lu is murdered. The police begin to suspect the wealthy Romeo. Su, meanwhile, finds Chou’s diary and leaves for Japan in a huff. She phones him from Tokyo for an explanation and with things sorted out, they spend Christmas together. All the while, Chou suspects someone is laying a trap for him. The girls with whom he’s been intimate have all been murdered. He decides to return to Hong Kong to get to the heart of the matter. He visits Chu, only to find her strangled. He is arrested, stands trial for murder and is sentenced to life imprisonment. At a retrial, Chou’s lawyer presents vital new facts. Su and he lay a trap for the killer, with Su as bait. As the murderer is about to strangle her, the lawyer and police break in and arrest the man. But who is he?



Buddha's Palm - Yue Loi Sun Jeung (1982)

Ku Han-hun (Alex Man Chi-leung) is the sole possessor of the Buddha’s Palm skill. Ku’s fellow-swordsmen try unsuccessfully to steal his secret. Many years have passed; Lung Chien-fei (Derek Yee) carries ugly scars on his face from protecting his master Liu Hua-hsin (Ching Miao). He loves Liu’s daughter Liu Ming-ying (Yu An-an), so when her father betroths her to the sly Ping Hsin (Ku Kwun-chung) he attacks Ping, and is hurled over a precipice. A giant bird rescues Lung and brings him to Ku, who is blind, a bit crazy and lives in a cave. Ku adopts him as his pupil and teaches Lung the Buddha’s Palm technique. During this time, Lung braves many dangers to obtain a fabulous pearl, which restores Ku’s eyesight and magically removes Lung’s scars into the lake. Ku’s rivals are still after the secret of Buddha’s Palm. Villainous Wan Chien (Shih Chien) orders his adopted daughter Dragon (Mary Jean Reimer) to find it. She draws Ping Hsin and his master Three Palm to Wan Chien. Ping betrays and kills his master during a fight and follows Wan Chien. Elsewhere, two sisters Yu-hua (Yu An-an) and Yu-chuan (Hui Ying-hung), are in trouble with their master Sun Pi-ling (Shaw Yin-yin) for failing to obtain the pearl for her, so they are sent to steal the heavily guarded Orchid wonder cure. Lung helps them but instead of being grateful, Sun Pi-ling plots to kill him because she holds a vengeful grudge against Lung’s teacher Ku. When Yu-chuan tries to lure Sun away, she is knocked down over the precipice. The giant bird comes to the rescue and brings Yu-chuan to Ku’s cave, where she learns a few Buddha’s Palm moves from the old man.





Bloody Parrot - Xie Ying Wu (1981)

Hell is raised in the martial arts world as forces of good and evil engage in a life-or-death battle for the fabled "bloody parrot". According to legend, this bloody parrot, transformed by dark magic, grants three wishes to anyone who sees it. Like many other people in the martial arts world, swordsman Yeh Ting Feng (Pai Piao) is curious about the truth behind the bloody parrot, and has been investigating its whereabouts. Renowned constable Tieh Han (Tony Liu), meanwhile, is tracing thirteen chests that mysteriously disappeared from the Wang manor. Yeh and Tieh cross paths one night in a cemetery. As the bloody parrot flies overhead, Tieh falls under its curse...





The Lady Assassin - Qing Gong Qi Shi Lu (1983)

Political intrigue in the imperial palace forms the setting for this fast paced kung fu classic. Anybody's whose seen 'The Rebellious Reign' should be familiar with the plot because its basically the same. The villainous 4th Prince plots to change a royal edict proclaiming himself as heir to the throne instead of the Emperor's favoured fourteenth prince. The Fourth prince gets the backing of Han loyalists by promising that the Manchu rule of iron will soften when he is in power however he fails to keep his promise and turns against those that helped him.

Temptress of a Thousand Faces is the Shaw Brothers Version of Fantomas - with a twist:
Hero and Villain are actually Heroine and Villainess and the Damsel in distress... is a guy.





The Temptress of a Thousand Faces is a mysterious thief who commits crimes in disguise and is ever elusive. Police Detective Ji Ying(Tina Chin Fei), who's in love with Journalist Yu Da(Chen Liang), tries hard to get hold of the Culprit who takes on so many appearances. Being called a threat to the public on Television by Ji Ying, the Temptress gets a bit sulky and abducts Ji Ying to her subterranean dwelling. Putting on a Mask of our Heroine the Temptress commits a Robbery at a Jewellery Exhibition where Ji Ying is ordered to watch over the Trinkets.Posing as Ji, the ruthless lady not only seduces the Heroine's Boyfriend, but to his eye-rubbing bewilderment fights her rival in an identical-twin faceoff. Eventually the Temptress turns out to be a fellow female journalist Mao Li (Pat Ting Hung) wreaking revenge on society for her past as a "plaything for men".




Intimate Confessions of a Chinese Courtesan - Ai Nu (1972)

The Movie opens with a green-tinted prologue in which police inspector Ji De (Yueh Hua) investigates a murder apparently committed by a prostitute named Ainu (Lily Ho Li-li). Flashbacks reveal that Ainu was among a number of maidens kidnapped by brigands under the orders of regal, lesbian Madam Chun (Betty Pei Ti). Although the girl's virginity is auctioned off in the usual manner to a group of rich deviants, Chun is attracted to her beauty and pluck and takes Ainu under her wing. Soon deeply infatuated, she imparts all of her martial arts skills to the girl, who goes on to become the establishment's number one attraction. When a second murder occurs, Ji deduces that Ainu is eliminating the men who raped her years earlier but his hands are tied, as he has no concrete evidence and the suspect enjoys greatprivilege with the upper echelons of society. So great is her protection that Ainu even secretly visits the policeman and openly admits to the crimes but nothing the lawman says to the next targets on her list will dissuade them from continuing their dalliances.
